  1 Introduction

 1) The drum gear coupling for the drum is a new type of flexible coupling, which is mainly used for the connection between the output shaft of the reducer of the lifting mechanism in the lifting equipment and the wire rope drum, and it is also suitable for other similar Mechanical equipment that not only transmits torque but also bears radial load, but cannot be used as a transmission that needs to bear axial load.

2) The working temperature of the drum gear coupling for the drum is -25~+80°C; the nominal transmission torque is 16~560 kN·m; the allowable radial load is 18~355 KN.

3) Compared with other couplings for drums, drum gear couplings for drums have the following characteristics:

The work is stable and reliable, can withstand large radial loads and transmit large torques, and has a large overload capacity.

The structure is compact and firm, and the serialized design can simplify the structure of the whole machine and reduce the weight of the equipment.

Good position adjustment performance, convenient installation and adjustment, and simple maintenance.

Equipped with positioning wear indicator, safe and reliable.

It can be equipped with ordinary shaft extension reducer to reduce equipment cost.

 2. Structural features and working principle

1) The drum-shaped gear coupling for the reel is composed of an outer gear sleeve with drum-shaped teeth, an outer sleeve with a connecting flange and an inner gear ring, a bearing ring with an outer spherical surface, an end cover and a sealing ring, etc., and Equipped with positioning wear pointer, lubricating oil hole and vent hole, etc.

2) The drum-shaped gear coupling formed by the outer gear sleeve and the outer sleeve transmits the driving power, and the contact pair formed by the outer spherical surface of the bearing ring and the inner bearing surface of the outer sleeve constitutes an automatically adjusted spherical bearing that bears radial load .

3) The inner and outer teeth of the coupling are engaged in an oil bath to prevent grease leakage through the inner and outer end caps and sealing rings.
